A little about me

My other half, best friend and hubby Shawn of 15+ years is my biggest fan and supporter! We dated during high school and I had it all planned out, a wedding with all of my (huge) family and friends, babies next and live happily ever after! I honestly did not even think about what my dream job or career was at that point. Sure as a child I wanted to be a professional ice skater but I knew that was not real life for me. I had no idea that I wanted to be a photographer until I became one, I didn’t dream of this career my entire life. 

After our wedding, we knew we wanted little ones running around sooner than later and I justified my fist camera purchase with the need of learning a camera before the babies were born! Little did I know at the time that I had plenty of time to learn how to use my first Canon rebel camera. The journey to start a family is not the same for everyone and that was true for us. At that point I was ready to learn how to take photos for every friend/family to let me practice. After each session I studied each aspect of the session and focused on how to improve. Fast forward to 5+ years of fertility struggles, emotional struggles, we were blessed with Aiden & Emma.... they were well worth the wait! They bring us so much joy and despite less sleep, more routine and day to day tasks running a household, this is by far our favorite season of life together as a couple.

Aiden is our dino, shark, army figurine loving little man! I am not sure how he will be 9 this year but it has been amazing to watch him grow, learn and be so caring to others.

Emma is our little firecracker! She is a sassy, makeup loving, up for any adventure girl! She loves to go shopping and will wrestle like one of the boys. What a privilege it is to call these little people ours! 

The Experience

I’m sure your mind is racing with all the needs to be planned. It’s all very exciting but it can also be somewhat overwhelming. Wedding planning is a lot. I get it, I've been there! Shawn and I got married in October of 2006 (pre-Pinterest), and by July I was so over wedding planning! My goal is to help you through your journey down the aisle! Whether it's about wedding photography or just general wedding stuff, I'm always here to help even if it's just to de-stress with you over appetizers!

My goal as your wedding photographer is to make this one aspect of the planning process simple. Photography is more that just images, it’s a real part of your day. Not only do you deserve beautiful images, you also deserve an amazing photographic experience. When my couples feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera, that results in genuine, joyful images!

Your wedding day is an experience from beginning to end and your photography is a huge part of that experience .... shouldn’t it be fun? and enjoyable? and natural? I think so! My goal is to not only capture for my clients, it’s to create and experience that they will never forget.

The Process

If we are the right fit and you have an idea of what you want for your wedding day, we go over package options and see what works best for your day! I will give my suggestions and create the perfect foundation for your photography coverage, we make it official with a contract and deposit.

Once the business is out of the way, we can focus on the fun stuff like scheduling your engagement session, timeline help along with tips and tricks! Shortly after booking, you'll receive a special guide created exclusively for JGP Brides! That will give you tons of information about the benefits of doing a first look, details to have ready on the wedding day, family formal photos, décor tips and and so much more! 

I will be in touch through the wedding planning process to help with vendor recommendations, helpful reminders and tips along the way. My second shooter and I will be with you every step of your wedding day, and truthfully spend more time with you that day than your spouse!! We'll lead you and your bridal party through the day, and ensure that you feel the best on your big day!
